Aro Rose biography :

Aro Rose (Amanda Rose O’Connor her real name) is an American singer-songwriter and actress was born in 1999 in Manhattan.

She developed a passion for playing the piano and writing music at an early age and became more focused on writing music after graduating from Ocean City High School (New Jersey) in 2017. She takes most inspiration from a variety of topics like personal life experiences, original poetry and her favorite films.

Aro Rose Had to face a tragedy when unfortunately her mother Diana, who worked in the World Trade Center, was a victim of the horrible attack. Diana had bought her a grand Young Chang piano for her first birthday and then the young Amanda decided to become a pianist and also taught this instrument to students.

Aro Rose never really had friends and was a loner, so she found comfort in making music that has always been an outlet for her, a beautiful escape. She thinks that music connects people and that it's important to be as raw and authentic as you can when writing. A lot of people are silently suffering and her goal is to help suffering people never feel like they’re suffering alone”.

She started recording in 2017 at Executive 15 studio in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Soon after, she signed to Parliament Records in Los Angeles, California. In 2019 she ended the contract and became an independent artist.
Then she joined the independent label Phoenix Records in February 2025, thanks to Fabulous Gabriel (Gabriel Maciocia) who is on this label and is the producer and composer of most Aro Rose songs.

Aro Rose style is especially Jazz-Rock & Blues, Dark Pop also sometimes. Her exceptional and rare voice and tone (contralto) are melancholic, emotive and soulful.

Her first single “Damaged” was recorded on 2021. The song is about never giving up and finding acceptance in being damaged. Aro herself plays piano on the recording.
Her second single “Tarrant” was released the same year. The song was inspired by the movie, “Alice in Wonderland”.
In 2022, Rose released her first album “Damaged” featuring 10 tracks that delve into her personal struggles. 
The “Damaged” music video exceeded 100.000 views in less than two months on YT.

Following this, Aro Rose released 2 singles : "Falling Apart" (2022) and "Don’t Cry Today" (2024), both featuring the Hip-Hop artist Poynt Blank from New-Jersey. These singles explore the themes of toxic relationships and heartbreak.
